Who are you?

The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring product excellence by inspecting materials, monitoring in-process production, and verifying finished goods against quality standards. This role supports continuous improvement efforts, assists in root cause analysis, and helps resolve quality issues throughout the production process. It's ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical individual with a passion for quality, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-performance products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

What will you do?

  • Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Prepare and review quality documentation, including non-conformance reports, first article inspections, and Certificates of Conformance.
  • Support calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Identify non-conforming products or processes and report issues to relevant team.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Investigate non-conforming products and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct and support internal audits to maintain ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications.
  • Support customer complaint resolution by participating in root cause analysis and implementing 8D reports.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Education: Technical diploma or certificate in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
  • 1–3 years in QA, manufacturing, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and methods.
  • Background in manufacturing processes and practices.
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma process improvement is considered an asset.
  • Computer knowledge and skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is an asset.
  • General knowledge of various materials and properties used in processes such as plastics, metal fabrication, rubber, castings, stampings, etc.
  • Work well under pressure and under tight timelines.
  • High level of organizational skills, detail oriented, and analytical.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities under tight timelines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • An energetic, diligent work ethic and able to work with little supervision.
