What will you do?

  • Independently and accurately count inventory items as determined by JDE system generated reports daily, and as defined by
    Schulte and Alamo Group count protocol.
  • Coordinate whole goods count on a quarterly basis.
  • Investigate inventory variances.
  • Monitor internal processes related to product identification, warehousing, and inventory accuracy against documented procedures and planned arrangements. Report findings to Inventory Control Supervisor
  • Work with other departments to find short-term and long-term solutions to chronic variances.
  • Be willing to take training as provided to enhance understanding of Inventory Control
  • Other duties as assigned

What do you need to succeed?

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.
  • Knowledge of Schulte Products or inventory control experience would be considered an asset.
  • JDE experience an asset.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities.
  • Motivated and timeliness.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and calculate measurements.
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to take instruction and be willing to develop skills and understanding of inventory control.
  • Computer skills (Excel, Inventory control systems)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions 

  • Primarily in a manufacturing environment indoors with frequent walking in and around a non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing plant.
  • 70% of your time will be in the production facility, 10% in the office, and 20% outside.
  • You will be expected to work outside both in the summer and the winter. You will be trained on operating forklifts and WAVE vehicles.
  • Lifting, pushing or pulling of 30 pounds, stooping, reaching, bending, and maneuvering around fabricated metal parts and manufacturing equipment will be a regular part of the job.
  • Occasional lifting, pushing or pulling of 20 pounds, stooping, reaching, bending, and climbing in and around fabricated metal parts and manufacturing equipment.
