What will you do?

  • Answering basic customer inquiries in person and by phone
  • Determining and recommending products to customers ensuring the customer is supplied with all items required for their project
  • Tinting & shaking paint accurately
  • Keying in sales and operating basic functions of the POS system
  • Proper and accurate handling, distribution and storage of company products.
  • Participate in company-sponsored training relating to material handling, safety and quality.
  • Prepare and label shipments and all other documents pertaining to shipments
  • Maintaining accuracy of all incoming/outgoing shipments
  • Phoning couriers, tracking shipments and receiving stock.
  • Ensure all cash sales being shipped are completed prior to leaving warehouse
  • Unpack incoming goods and ensure there are no damages
  • Recording damage notes on waybills and informing supervisors
  • Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area
  • Other duties as required

What do you need to succeed?

  • 1-year experience in similar role
  • Capable of lifting upto 50 lb regularly
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time
  • Valid drivers license
  • Raw Material Organizing and Tagging Forklift experience is an asset
  • Previous work experience working in a paint or chemical manufacturing considered an advantage
  • Must have excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures
