Walinga, a leader in the agricultural equipment industry, is looking for a Trailer Equipment Technician/Mechanic in our new Wallenstein location to keep our customers running smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and some experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.

What will you do?

  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and air systems using tools and specialized equipment
  • Test and optimize systems to meet Walinga standards.
  • Advise supervisors on work performed and general trailer conditions and recommend future repairs that may be required.
  • Participate and specialized training for Walinga Transportation and pneumatic conveying equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace that adheres to safety standards.
  • Perform other duties across departments as needed based on your skill set

What do you need to succeed?

  • 310J or equivalent licence is an asset
  • Proficiency in Mechanical repair, hydraulics, pneumatic, and 12-volt electrical systems (preferred).
  • Welding experience and familiarity with welding tools/equipment is an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and English instructions.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to climb, walk, kneel, squat, and perform overhead work.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various temperatures.
