International Sales Manager
Who are you?
Responsible for leading and managing the company's international sales efforts, developing and executing strategic plans to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and establish a strong global presence. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader in international sales, particularly in the agricultural machinery industry, with a proven ability to scale sales operations and expand market share across multiple regions.
What will you do?
Build and maintain relationships with distributors, dealers, and customers, providing them with solutions that meet their specific needs. The primary goal will be to drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, closing sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement sales initiatives, forecasts and budgets
- Identify and assess new market opportunities, potential partnerships, and customer segments in various international regions. Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, key partners, and potential clients to expand the company's footprint in existing and new markets.
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives. Ensure smooth communication and execution of global sales plans.
- Manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and expense control
- Negotiate and close complex sales deals
- Maintain a keen awareness of agricultural needs and opportunities, and economic conditions within the assigned area
- Identify market trends and intelligence
- Actively attend and participate in industry trade shows
- Conduct Dealer product training
- Conduct yearly reviews on dealer standards and quality
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Communicate issues, concerns, and competitive information from the field to corporate staff.
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the agricultural or manufacturing industry. Demonstrated success in driving market expansion.
- Extensive experience working in and managing sales across multiple international markets. Familiarity with cultural differences, global trade regulations, and international business practices is essential.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability
- Strong understanding of agricultural machinery, equipment, and technologies, as well as the specific needs of the agricultural industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, closing deals, and managing customer relationships and driving revenue growth
- Strong ability to negotiate prices, terms, and contracts in different cultural and business environments.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes for clients and the company
- Strong decision-making skills and excellent judgment when the company's reputation is at stake
- Computer efficiency in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a commitment to customer service excellence
- Willingness to travel internationally to meet clients, attend trade shows, and manage regional operations.
- Valid driver's license and passport
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English required. Ability to speak an additional language or languages is considered a definite asset
