Customer Service Representative (Experienced in Paint) - Mississauga, Ontario

Who are you?

Cloverdale Paint is seeking an ambitious individual for a full-time position with open availability at our store in Mississauga, ON. We are looking for someone to work full-time. This is a role for an experienced paint technician. This role requires extensive knowledge on color matching techniques in Architectural and Industrial paint products. Working knowledge of color-matching Spectrophotometric instrumentation is strongly preferred. Wage is negotiable depending on previous experience. What will you do?

  • Answering basic customer inquiries in person and by phone
  • Determining and recommending products to customers ensuring the customer is supplied with all items required for their project
  • Tinting & shaking paint accurately
  • Keying in sales and operating basic functions of the POS system
  • Perform basic tint machine maintenance and calibration
  • Perform basic mixing equipment maintenance
  • Employ leadership skills to mentor and direct new as well as existing employees in the tinting/color matching functions of the branch
  • Maintain and manage the color filing system for the branch
  • Assume quality control responsibility for all tinted product leaving the branch
  • Tint and color match all products including trade, industrial, and wood finishing

What do you need to succeed?

  • 3-5 years of Retail Sales in Paint Industry
  • Ability to lift up to 50lb regularly
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Team player and capable of mentoring junior staff
  • Strong work ethic, with a can-do attitude
  • Must have a demonstrated desire and ability to color match
  • Fully understands the requirements of the branch's color filing system
  • An advanced working knowledge of the tint systems and color matching equipment
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the computer color matching equipment and the ability to use its storage/filing functions.
  • Complete knowledge of the customer's color needs and requirements.
