What will you do?
- Perform inspections on machinery prior to shipping; ensure quality standards are met
and all components intact - Reconfigure machines to customer specifications as required; ensure check lists are
complete for each machine - Load machines onto trailers or into containers using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Prepare any parts for shipment via truck
- Perform checks on every load to ensure everything is correct and properly secured
- Assemble kits as needed for reconfiguration
- Racking and crating machinery for oversea container shipments
- Follow the requirements of the QMS as it pertains to inspection control of nonconforming product
- Build skids used for shipping
- Follow all safe work procedures
What do you need to succeed?
- Ability to read a tape measure and calipers
- Transportation of dangerous goods training (WHMIS)
- Forklift Safety training
- Strong math and computer skills
- Must be capable of handling heavier items
- Good communication skills
Working Conditions:
- Primarily in an environment indoors with frequent walking in and around a non-climate
controlled metal manufacturing plant. - Occasional lifting, pushing or pulling of 20 pounds, stooping, reaching, bending, and
climbing in and around fabricated metal parts and manufacturing equipment. - Some work outside in the elements (cold, heat, rain, snow) will be required.
- 4 x 10 hour shift, Monday to Thursday
- Must be willing to relocate to Humboldt/Englefeld area
- Must be eligible work legally in Canada
