Agriculture Hydraulic Sales/Technician

Glendale Industries manufactures truck-mounted service tanks and are experts in structural steel fabrication with a full-service powder coating department. Who are you?

The candidate for this position will be responsible for working independently and driving the Agricultural Hydraulics division. This will require an in-depth knowledge of hydraulics to assist farmers in selecting the right product. This is a hybrid position and will require customer service skills along with the technical ability to provide the right solutions to the end user. This individual is responsible for achieving deadlines, purchasing components, and ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained. Effective communication with the customer and the Ag Sales team is essential in the aspects of troubleshooting, operating issues, assisting with technical details, new product development, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.

What will you do?

  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional after-sales support, addressing any technical issues or concerns promptly and
    effectively troubleshooting.
  • Product Development Feedback: Gather customer feedback and assist with new product development to help improve
    existing products and develop new tractor hydraulic kits.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and applications. Experience with hydraulic
    troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Sales Planning & Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance and identify opportunity
    areas for sales growth. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and expand the customer
    base.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales
    strategies.
  • Trade Shows and Events: Represent the company at industry trade shows, and dealer events, Visits to promote products
    and network with potential clients.
  • Design Systems and Components: For in house shop fabrication. Work within ERP system to organize and generate bills
    of materials and routers, while managing inventory.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Measure, cut, assemble, crimp, industrial hydraulic hose. Have shipping/ receiving ability and
    assemble hydraulic kits.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Experience
    • 3-5 years' experience selling or working with hydraulics.
  • Education
  • Formal mechanical training or education would be an asset but is not required.
    • Skills
    • Applicant must provide exceptional customer service, multi-task, set priorities within tight timelines, and possess
      strong organizational skills.
    • The individual taking this role must also be familiar with Microsoft Office, and ERP/MRP systems.
    • Along with having the ability to use AutoCAD for Hydraulic kit drawings with dimensions is an asset

      requires strong communication & interpersonal skills and a focus on ongoing improvements.
  • Travel
    • This position will require travel to trade shows, dealerships, and customer locations. Class five driver's license is
      required.
