Job Overview:
Vale Industries is seeking a qualified, experienced, dependable, Class 1A truck driver to transport Vale hopper bottoms and other Vale products. The successful candidate will also be a part of our production shop team when not trucking. What You Will Do?
- Load and deliver hopper cones within Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, and United States
- Ensure that vehicles are loaded properly for transportation
- Complete documentation to company standards
- Coordinate pilot driver schedule
- Perform and document pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles
- Adhere to all company safety policies
- Work in various departments in the production shop as required, supporting overall operations
What You Need to Succeed?
- Able to work long hours when necessary
- Experience hauling extra wide loads
- Physical agility and ability to lift, carry and move large, awkward and/or heavy items (up to 50lbs)
- Able to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and other drawings
- Excellent verbal and oral fluency in English with strong attention to detail
- Have a calm, responsible demeanor during potential stressful situations
