Job Overview:
Vale has a great opportunity available for an experienced Production Welder/Fitter to be a part of our production team in our newly opened Regina facility. What's In It For You?
▪ Read documents, computer screens, blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout
and procedures
▪ Perform MIG weld based on project requirements
▪ Tack and weld components
▪ Operate shop equipment as required including saws, drills, grinders, etc.
▪ Produce components and assemblies as per specified requirements
▪ Perform general preventative maintenance of weld equipment
▪ Perform quality inspections
▪ Keep a tidy and clean work area
▪ Maintain safe work practices
▪ Regulate machine factors such as Wire type, gas flow, fixture locations
▪ Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
▪ Maintain quality objectives and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
▪ Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
What Will You Do?

What You Need to Succeed?
▪ High School diploma or equivalent
▪ Experience in production line welding; MIG welding experience an asset
▪ Experienced with a variety of welding equipment and procedures as well as other hand tools such as grinders, calipers, saws, etc.
▪ Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and other drawings
▪ Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
▪ Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines; willing to work shifts when required
▪ Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills as well as the flexibility to handle changing
demands and work effectively in a diverse environment
▪ Able to work independently or as part of a team in a busy environment/able to work under pressure
▪ Must be able to interact with co-workers in a sensitive, tactful, diplomatic, and professional manner at all times
▪ Proficient in English, both verbal and written
▪ Metal fabrication experience would be an asset
▪ Ability to read and interpret blueprints
▪ Ability to accurately fit parts
▪ Journeyperson or apprentice preferred
▪ Overhead crane and forklift training an asset (but not required)
▪ Experience rigging and safe handling of components
▪ WHMIS training an asset
▪ CWB certificate an asset (but not required)
