Job Overview
We are looking to hire a motivated & hard-working permanent full-time machining tool operator in our Yorkton plant. The ideal candidate should have the ability to understand the whole process from design to manufacturing & be able to work independently and with a team.
What You Will Do?
-Study job orders & interpret blueprints to determine machining operations to be performed
-Set up & operate machine tools to perform repetitive machining operations, such as turning, milling, drilling, boring, planning, honing, broaching, grinding or other machining operations
-Verify dimensions of parts machined using micrometers, calipers & other precision measuring instruments
-Prepare etching solution & immerse metal parts or workpiece in etching solution to remove unwanted portions
-Perform routine maintenance on equipment & machinery
-May enter codes specifying speed, feed & cut of the toolpath for computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools.
-Good communication skills.
-Conscious of and adherence to safe work practices.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-Previous work experience with ISO quality control environment and support the Quality Control objectives of the company.
What You Need to Succeed?
-Preference to those who can demonstrate an understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, assembly;
-Must live in Canada and have permission to work in Canada.
